Thai Onzon Restaurant in Cochrane, Alberta is a lovely place. They are not 100% gluten-free, but the majority of their menu is gluten-free. The service is wonderful and the food delicious.
They do not have a dedicated fryer, so anything that is deep fried is not safe for a celiac. Do let them know that you are a celiac and they will let you know what you can and can't order.
I went out for lunch and had #27 Pad Ta Kai, a gluten-free sautéed veggies and tofu in a lemongrass sauce with a side of rice. Very tasty and filling. Lots of different vegetables. I really enjoy the food here.
On previous visits I tried the veggie spring rolls. Great appetizer. Very refreshing and tasty.
Also, have tried this noodle dish. I have forgotten the name, but I think it is the Pad Thai. The noodles were nice and chewy, the vegetables perfectly cooked with a slight bite to them that I like and a very tasty sauce. A very flavourful dish.
Here is what the inside of the restaurant looks like. Very comfortable and bright. The place is spotlessly clean. There is parking behind the restaurant. The food is very pretty and tasty and the prices are very reasonable.
If you are looking for a place to eat out then I highly recommend the Thai Onzon. I look forward to trying their other dishes.
